Amica Insurance was proud to take part in the 2024 CEO Challenge in support of ALS United Rhode Island.

Through employee and company donations, Amica raised $31,074 to increase ALS awareness and assist those battling the disease. Amica was once again the top fundraising company for the statewide event. Over the past four years, Amica has raised over $200,000 in support of those impacted by ALS.

Amica President and CEO Ted Shallcross bravely stepped up to be thoroughly drenched at the event that took place at Amica headquarters in early August. This year, employees who donated to the campaign were entered into a drawing to be one of three people dousing the CEO with a bucket of water. Employee donations were matched by the Amica Companies Foundation.

“I am so proud of the Amica employee team and how, once again, they were so generous in their giving to those impacted by ALS,” said Shallcross. “All year long, Amica supports important causes both here in Rhode Island and across the country. We will continue to invest in the communities where our employees and customers live.”
