Auto Claims Process
- Submitting a claim:
We need some information from you to get your claim started.
You can report a claim here, through our mobile app or by calling 800-242-6422. - Inspection:
We’ll assign one of our appraisers to assess the damage to your vehicle and write an estimate for all visible damage. Depending on the loss, we might ask you to submit photos of the damage to complete the appraisal virtually.
If damage that wasn’t visible during the initial estimate is noticed while the vehicle is being repaired at a licensed repair shop, the shop will call the appraiser to write a supplemental estimate for any additional loss-related damage. - Investigation:
We’ll complete a thorough investigation of the loss to determine liability. This may include statements from all parties, photos of the loss location and if applicable, the police report and witness statements.
- Claim Payment:
Upon receipt of the estimate of damages, we may issue payment, less the applicable deductible. Payment for any loss-related supplemental damages may also be issued.
Payment can be made through Venmo, PayPal, EFT or a paper check.
Once a digital payment is issued, look for an email from OneInc@amica.com to select the payment method that works best for you. - Liability:
When the investigation is complete, we’ll determine the liability and fault for the loss, if applicable. - Subrogation:
If the accident wasn’t your fault, we may be able to recover damages. This is a process where we’ll request reimbursement for the covered damages paid to you from the at-fault party. This reimbursement often comes from the at-fault’s party’s insurance company. The amount we can recover is subject to state regulations.
