Text Messaging and Notifications Program Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 12/19/2021

By participating in the Amica Text Messaging and Notifications Program (the “Program”) and providing us your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive nonmarketing text messages and automated notifications, including billing, payment or other updates about your account, policy or claim, and marketing text messages (collectively, “Text”). You agree that your participation in the Program is voluntary and not a necessary condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Text frequency may vary depending on your billing and payment status and the activities related to your policy or claim. Amica may use third-party vendors to enhance the Program features, including Text sent through an automatic telephone dialing system. Amica nor its third-party vendors have a separate charge for the Program, but message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. By enrolling in the Program, you approve any such charges.

The Program may recognize certain inbound messages and generate an automated reply including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Enroll by replying YES to the enrollment text notification.
  • Unenroll by texting STOP to your unique 10-digit phone number. You will receive a confirmation Text stating that you’ve been successfully unenrolled.
  • Text HELP to your unique 10-digit phone number, visit Amica.com, or contact us at 833-915-0016 for more information or assistance.

Under the profile section of your Amica.com account, you can change/update your Text preferences.

Text may be delayed or not delivered due to factors outside of Amica’s or its third-party vendor’s control, and subject to the terms and conditions of your mobile carrier. In emergencies or other periods of high messaging traffic, delivery of Text could be affected. Amica disclaims responsibility for undelivered notifications, notifications delivered out of order, or other issues arising out of such administrative/technical issues. There are no emergency services available through the Program, and it cannot be used to contact 911.

You acknowledge that unaffiliated third parties could send SMS text messages disguised as alerts from Amica, and that the onus is on you to confirm that Text received are authentic. Amica will never request sensitive financial, personal or login information through this Program, and if such a request is received, you should promptly inform Amica.

You must be the mobile phone account holder or have permission from the account holder to use the Program, and be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent/guardian. You must unenroll from the Program if you discontinue your mobile phone service, change your mobile phone number or lose your mobile phone. Additionally, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless from and against any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your provision of a mobile phone number that is not your own, or your violation of applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

You will be participating in the Program once you accept these terms and conditions. We may revise and update these terms and conditions from time to time at our sole discretion or suspend or terminate this Program, with or without notice. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not participate in the Program.
